Worplesdon Sweetgum is a superior shade tree cultivar; cold tolerant to approximately -29 degrees and smoother, less corky bark than the species, nearly eliminated litter of their fruit (gumballs). A striking pyramidal to oval form offers a vertical accent to the landscape. Narrow, deeply lobed, light-green, glossy foliage turns an artistic pallet of apricot-orange to purple in the Fall. This outstanding specimen will instantly make it the focal point of any landscape.

Where to put it:

Worplesdon Sweetgum is a wonderful accent and large shade tree which should be used in open areas of the yard or parkways. It is not recommended under utilities and it should be planted at least 15 Ft from any buildings if possible.

What it needs:

Worplesdon Sweetgum prefers full sunlight and average to moist soil conditions. Be sure to follow our watering guidelines for the first few growing seasons until the root system is well-established.
