Pink Flowering Dogwood is an old time favorite that is an absolute stunner in the springtime. This Dogwood features pink to pinkish red flowers with considerable variation in color. Where to put it:
Pink Flowering Dogwood can be used anywhere in the landscape to add some color and native flair. Dogwoods are an excellent specimen to plant near a patio, at corners of the house, or in groupings anywhere in the yard. Dogwoods are commonly used for privacy screening, foundation plantings, or anywhere where a small clump form tree is ideal. This species is not used enough in the modern landscape, and makes an excellent small tree that is one of the best native ornamentals growing in the US. What it needs:
Pink Flowering Dogwood will benefit from a sheltered location. Although it is considered zone 5, the flowers will be at risk from late frosts in the spring. As a benefit, we only use Flowering Dogwoods that are grown from northern seed sources. For tree care instructions please click here.
