Why it rocks:

Green Giant Arborvitae is an exciting new variety which is capturing people’s attention. This arborvitae is large, vigorous, and fast growing. It has a pyramidal form and a medium to dark green color which is very resistant of winter frost burn. Green Giant has proven itself as a performer and can be used anywhere in the landscape. Where to put it:

Green Giant Arborvitae is a great tree to use as a screen, hedge, windbreak, or as a single specimen. Be aware that unlike many arborvitae used for landscape situations the Green Giant gets massive and will reach a height of 50-60’ tall by 12-20’ wide. They are often planted 5-6ft apart for a quick screen, but 10-15’ apart is ideal for regular situations. What it needs:

Green Giant Arborvitae is tolerant of most soil conditions, but does best in moist, well drained soils. This tree will tolerate full sun or partial shade and can withstand heavy ice and snow loads. For tree care instructions please click here.
