Thornless Cockspur Hawthorn has become one of the most popular ornamental landscape trees on the market today. This tree features extremely unique horizontally-tiered branches which add a completely different texture to the landscape. Thornless Cockspur emerges in late spring with beautiful clusters of white flowers. Its deep green leaves turn to a striking red/orange in the fall. The showy red berries emerge in early fall and persist through winter, adding significant winter interest. The Thornless Cockspur Hawthorn, just like the name implies, is completely thornless. Where to put it:

Great for privacy and accent, the Thornless Cockspur Hawthorn is extremely versatile in the landscape. This tree may be used in planting beds around the house, on property lines, to anchor the corners of your house, or in open areas of the lawn. This is a low-branched tree, so keep in mind that it will block the view of anything you put it in front of. Hawthorn adds an extremely native look to the landscape, and looks great in odd numbered clusters. This tree should be kept at least 10ft away from buildings.
